Eastern Connecticut State University, Connecticut


Eastern Connecticut State University was founded in 1889 and is one of Connecticut’s state universities. It is located in the pleasant city of Willimantic in the New England area, less than two hours away from Boston and less than three hours away from New York City.

ECSU’s approximately 5,500 students from more than 20 different countries and one of the greenest campuses in the USA provide an enjoyable atmosphere for college life. Students can choose from more than 30 different bachelor’s degrees and 6 master’s degrees, all with different emphases in which to specialize. Teaching and education at ECSU are high quality. Outside the classroom students have the opportunity to enjoy the cozy city of Willimantic, participate in the school’s student clubs and organizations or take a weekend trip to New York City or Boston. Also available are plenty of sporting opportunities (club sports) and events (intercollegiate athletics) to enjoy. Club opportunities are open for all students and include everything from rugby to fishing, which are a great way to get to know people at the school.
